This technology release is focused on modernizing key workflows, improving usability, expanding planning capabilities, and providing more detailed planning outputs for advisors and their clients.
Here are a few of the highlights:
Global updates
Investment asset modernization
You’ll find we’ve modernized the Investment Assets section in MoneyGuide to improve the user experience and simplify manual account entry. The process of entering accounts by total value or by holding now happens in a single workflow.
Summary Accounts have also been improved so users can continue maintaining multiple accounts in summary form until additional details are available. This makes entering, editing, and managing accounts faster and easier throughout the planning process.
Annuity enhancements and new account types
This release expands annuity and structured investment support with new account types for more precise, detailed planning calculations.
- Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA): Include participation rate, maximum return, and minimum return details in calculations.
- Deferred Income Annuities (DIA): Include fixed returns during accumulation years and future annuitization details.
- Registered Indexed-Linked Annuities (RILA): Enter participation rate, protection, maximum return, and minimum return details by term and occurrence.
- Structured Investments: Enter participation rate, protection, maximum return, and minimum return details by term and occurrence, with an optional income rider when applicable.

Support center modernization
We’ve also modernized the Support Center to improve the overall user experience and make it easier to find and navigate support resources.
MoneyGuide updates
Long-term care analysis enhancements
Long-Term Care Analysis now makes Cost of Care assumptions easier to display, search, and select. Users can search a new database by the client’s ZIP code or city to quickly find care-cost assumptions.
Tax planning enhancements
We’ve enhanced how long-term capital gains income is incorporated into overall tax calculations. Previously, this income was separated from ordinary income, and while this approach was accurate for tax calculation purposes, it excluded long-term capital gains income from the client’s taxable income level within Tax Planning.
With this update, all forms of taxable income are now combined into a single view before taxes owed are calculated based on the applicable income type. This provides a more complete view of taxable income within Tax Planning.
Results may change in some scenarios, though most changes should be minimal. Plans most likely to see differences include those with low ordinary income and high long-term capital gains income, or high capital gains income combined with calculated Roth conversions.
Wealth Studios updates
New tax planning results

Wealth Studios Lifestyle Studio now includes a new series of views and reports focused on tax planning and tax results. These updates make the underlying tax engine and its calculations easier to access, understand, and present to clients.
- Enhanced Tax Planning Insights: New tax planning views provide greater visibility into projected tax calculations and outputs. Advisors can better understand the factors contributing to tax results through new visual reports and detailed breakdowns.
- New Tax Reporting Experience: A suite of new printable reports has been added, including Taxable Income, Tax Estimates, Five-Year Details, Cumulative Taxes, and Gift Assumptions views.
- Expanded Roth Reporting: Roth account balances now appear as a separate category within Net Worth and Balance Sheet reporting, making Roth assets easier to evaluate.
UX enhancements
We’ve enhanced Lifestyle Studio and Legacy Studio to improve the overall user experience. The updates to the Wealth Studios interface and navigation provide more space for live views, make comparison data easier to access, and support a smoother planning conversation across Lifestyle and Legacy Studios.
Discounting options for gifts and trust strategies
Discounting for gifts and transfers has been expanded to support more wealth transfer strategies, making it easier to model discounted gifts and funding approaches. In addition to existing capabilities, discounting is now available for General Gifts to Family, Friends and Trusts, SLAT Trusts, Generic Irrevocable Trusts, Generic IDGTs, GRATs, and Rolling GRATs when eligible in-kind gifting options are selected.

Every enhancement is designed with advisors in mind, so they can deliver clear, actionable plans and meaningful advice at every stage of a client’s financial life.
