Our summer 2026 Tamarac release: AI comes to Report Studio

Building client reports, managing rebalances, and staying on top of CRM data take time and precision. Our latest release is designed to help you do all three more efficiently, with Report Studio and MoneyGuide at the center of this update, alongside new Trading, and CRM enhancements.

Let's take a look:

MoneyGuide updates

Planning data now lives where advisors already work

A new MoneyGuide dashboard surfaces client plan information directly in Tamarac, cutting clicks and giving advisors faster access to the details they need before a conversation.

The client record adds a MoneyGuide Summary tab covering net worth, asset allocation, and plan summary pages, so advisors can move from a summary view into deeper analysis without leaving the workflow.

We’ve made updates to the Tamarac Client Portal too. It now supports MoneyGuide Wealth Studios as a data source for Net Worth pages and widgets. Firms can choose whether Net Worth displays draw from standard reporting, MoneyGuide, or Wealth Studios. New ownership views show assets and liabilities in and out of estate and by individual owner, answering the question clients actually ask, which is not just what they have, but where it sits.

Tamarac Reporting: Report Studio updates

Available in beta: Create and analyze reports with AI

Report Studio now includes an AI-Assisted Report Migration tool and an AI Data Analyst agent automate report creation and analysis. For all AI tools, the Tamarac platform logs every interaction and saves immutable audit logs. Additionally, input guardrails filter harmful or off-topic prompts to keep results on track.

Many advisors have multiple reports in legacy reporting systems on Tamarac. The AI-Assisted Report Migration tool makes it easy to move your existing report library into Report Studio. Using PDF parsing and vision technology, the AI Data Analyst agent converts these reports into modern templates without losing visual or data integrity.

You can use AI prompts directly in Report Builder to modify all module types, allowing manual and AI edits to coexist seamlessly. All you need to do is validate the conversion after it’s done.

For context-aware insights and complex date-range queries, we’ve created a new AI Data Analyst agent. This AI analyst uses natural language queries to explore data for clients and their financial accounts, provide client briefs and other information for specific date ranges, and more. The AI analysist simplifies your interaction with the data so you don’t need to create complicated saved searches or specific reports. Just ask a question and get the answer.

Together, these tools can help you gain a deeper understanding of client data and deliver personalized, professional reports with less manual work.

To ensure the best experience, we're initially introducing the AI Analyst to a small, select group. If you're interested in being considered for a future wave, reach out to your service team and we'll add your firm to the interest list. We'll follow up as additional capacity becomes available.

Use Report Studio PDFs as default templates

Report Studio is now available in more PDF reporting workflows, giving you a more consistent way to create, schedule, and save reports.

You can use Report Studio reports in the following places:

  • On the Accounts page: The PDF workflow now shows Report Studio reports in the default template list. They’re clearly labeled so you can tell them apart from legacy PDF templates.
  • On the Households page: You can select Report Studio reports when you generate PDFs for selected households. Existing delivery methods and email notifications work just as they did before.
  • In the PDF Scheduler: You can select Report Studio reports as scheduled template sources, and set one as the default report for specific accounts or groups.

Whether you generate a report from the Accounts page or schedule recurring delivery with the PDF Scheduler, Report Studio provides modern, flexible design. Saving Report Studio reports as default templates helps ensure that the right report is ready when you need it.

New data points and grouping options

Report Studio now offers more data points and grouping options across committed capital, net worth, account analytics, and tax planning. These additions give you more reporting flexibility, help you recreate legacy PDF template sections, and make it easier to build comprehensive reports that support clients with complex financial needs.

Here’s what’s new:

Committed capital. New data points include MOIC (Unrealized), MOIC (Realized), Total Value to Date, and Committed Capital & Subscriptions, and there’s also a new Group by Vintage Year option.

Net worth reporting. You can now generate household net worth reports using new columns such as Household Net Worth, Net Worth Assets, and Net Worth Liabilities. Additionally, you can group by net worth category or owner.

Account analytics. Standard Deviation and other account analytics data points are available as columns in the Table module. You can include them at the position, subtotal, and total levels.

Tax planning. Report Studio now features a comprehensive suite of tax planning data points including long- and short-term capital gains and losses and realized gains and losses, federal and state taxable dividends and interest, and more. These data points bring together all the account activity details tax planners need in one place.

Use these updates to give clients a more complete view of their financial picture in a single, professional report. You can create specialized reports, such as Comparative Review Tax Planning reports or detailed net worth statements, directly in Report Studio. Vintage year grouping helps clients track private investment performance over time, while account analytics at the position, subtotal, and total levels let you include risk and performance metrics throughout the report.

New Risk Scatter Plot Chart module for risk versus returns

Advisors who want to show clients how much risk they take on for their returns can now visualize that trade-off directly in Report Studio. The new Risk Scatter Plot Chart module replicates the Risk vs Return analysis previously available in Account Analytics. With it, you can plot net or gross time-weighted returns (TWR) on a two-dimensional grid.

The chart shows clients where their holdings fall on the risk-return spectrum, comparing performance to benchmarks and factoring in volatility. It also helps you spot outliers in a portfolio, so you can have more informed discussions about risk tolerance and asset allocation.

You can group scatter plot data by account or asset class and include category benchmarks, account benchmarks, and additional indexes. The module also maintains consistent visual output across the Report Studio builder, dynamic viewer, and final PDF documents.

To add this chart to your reports, open Report Studio and select the Risk Scatter Plot Chart Module from the module library.

Use the Settings panel to define your X-axis as standard deviation and your Y-axis as return, then apply your preferred Grouping and Legend configurations to customize the display.

Create custom data points

As an advisor, you need to highlight metrics that reflect your firm's investment approach, not just what’s available in standard reports. That’s why we made it possible to create custom metrics tailored to your firm’s analytical needs. Custom calculated columns give you access to a flexible expression builder that lets you perform mathematical operations on numeric data points. You can generate unique reporting columns without waiting for standard system updates.

Use this feature to show metrics such as Potential Capital at Risk, which is calculated by adding Current Value and Remaining Capital. Custom Calculated Columns help you combine standard performance data with your own logic, so you can give clients more meaningful insights and include the exact data points they expect in Report Studio reports.

Enhanced pie chart customization

This release introduces several enhancements to the pie chart module in Report Studio to give you more control over how data is visualized. These updates help you streamline complex data, refine client presentations with cleaner grouping and improved label displays, and keep reports professional and easy to understand, even with numerous asset categories.

You can use the following enhancements on pie charts:

  • Separate managed and unmanaged assets. The chart can now segregate managed and unmanaged assets into distinct groupings, giving clients a clearer view of what you manage versus what is held elsewhere.
  • Group smaller categories into Other. A new Add 'Other' for weights below setting automatically collapses any asset category below a specified percentage threshold into a single Other category. This is useful when a client holds many small positions, like 20 stocks that each represent less than 1% of assets. Instead of displaying this data as distracting tiny pie slices, it can be grouped into a single slice labeled Other Equity Holdings, for instance.
  • Rename the overflow category. Use a custom name for the overflow category instead of the default Other label.
  • Show what Other includes. Use the Footnote option to display the specific contents of the Other category as a footnote below the chart, so clients still get the detail without a cluttered visual.

Together, these enhancements help you create cleaner, more impactful visual summaries for clients, without losing any of the underlying detail.

Bar and line enhancements

In client meetings, you may need to compare a client’s account performance with a benchmark over time. Having a single, clear chart makes that conversation easier. With this release, you can create clearer performance charts in Report Studio by combining bars, lines, and benchmark data in one chart.

Showing lines and bars in one chart lets you do the following:

  • Combine bar and line charts. Create more engaging visualizations by displaying bar and line data together in a single chart.
  • Compare results across time periods. Show multiple historical date periods in one bar chart to highlight trends and changes over time.
  • Include benchmark returns automatically. Add annualized or cumulative category, account, or group benchmark returns when you select return data points.
  • Customize legend labels and axis titles. Choose how you want to display legends and axis labels—whether more detailed account names and labels, or simpler, generic labels and minimal axis labels.

To access these features, open a Bar/Line Chart module in Report Studio. Use the Settings panel to turn on Combined Chart, then add date periods or select the benchmarks you want to include.

You can further refine the display by adjusting the Legend and Axis configurations to match your firm’s reporting standards.

Tamarac CRM updates

View cash and security reserves synced from Tamarac Trading

With this release, Cash Reserves and Security Reserves flow directly from Tamarac Trading into CRM, so you no longer have to switch between systems to check reserve details.

This information now lives on financial account records under a new Tamarac Trading tab, with Cash Reserves and Security Reserves organized in separate grids.

From the grid view or an individual cash or security reserve record, you can review key details, including amounts, thresholds, effective dates, symbols, categories, notes, and recurrence indicators.

NOTE

The information syncs one way from Tamarac Trading into CRM. To update reserve details, you must edit them directly in Tamarac Trading.

If your firm uses both Tamarac CRM and Tamarac Trading, use this sync to improve account oversight and operational efficiency. Cash and security reserves play an important role in rebalancing activity. You can save time by accessing that information directly from CRM and reducing the need to switch between applications.

Firms that use Tamarac Trading will automatically see cash and security reserves in CRM. On a financial account record, select the Tamarac Trading tab to review Cash Reserves and Security Reserves.

Automate service request workflows with Power Automate flows

Automating service requests can streamline operational processes and reduce manual effort, route work to the right team members, and create a more consistent experience for users.

With new Power Automate flow templates for Tamarac CRM service requests, you have a starting point for automating common workflows around your existing CRM processes.

Flow templates are available for the following Tamarac service requests:

  • Client Information Update
  • Incoming Deposit
  • Strategy Update

Each default service request has a corresponding base and multi-business unit (MBU) flow template, so you can pick the version that matches your firm's structure. You can easily add these templates to the Tamarac Power Automate Flows Custom solution to create customized flows that meet your firm's operational needs.

To get started, your firm must use Microsoft Power Automate. A CRM System Administrator or Global Admin for Microsoft 365 must:

  • Disable your original service request workflows to avoid creating duplicate tasks.
  • Enable the new Power Automate flows.
