Envestnet Wins Two Family Wealth Report Awards

Chairman/CEO Jud Bergman Honored as Outstanding Thought Leader in the Wealth Management Space

CHICAGO—March 21, 2016—Envestnet, Inc. (NYSE: ENV) received two 2016 Family Wealth Report Awards at an awards dinner held at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City on March 10, 2016. The firm won in the Portfolio Management category, and Chairman and CEO Jud Bergman was honored for his Outstanding Contribution to Wealth Management Thought Leadership.

“Our goal is to ensure independent advisors always have state-of-the-art wealth management tools at their disposal,” said Mr. Bergman. “This is a firm-wide effort requiring collaboration and innovation across multiple divisions, and we are proud of our various teams for working with advisors to make certain that our end-to-end platform provides everything they need to improve outcomes for their clients as well as their practices.”

Now in their third year, the Family Wealth Report Awards recognize companies, teams, and individuals from the global private banking, wealth management, and trusted advisor communities who are deemed by a prestigious panel of judges to have demonstrated innovation and excellence during the previous 12 months.

“The firms who triumphed in these awards are all worthy winners, and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations. These awards were judged solely on the basis of entrants’ submissions and their responses to a number of specific questions, which had to be answered by focusing on the client experience, not quantitative performance metrics,” said Stephen Harris, CEO of ClearView Financial Media and Publisher of Family Wealth Report. “That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature. These awards recognize the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence,’ ‘integrity,’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process—such that the awards truly reflect excellence in wealth management.”

During 2015, Envestnet completed several acquisitions to enable the creation of a fully unified technology suite—which includes client relationship management (CRM), portfolio accounting, and financial planning software integrated with a client-facing digital advice portal offering personal financial management services. Envestnet’s platform offers best-in-class tools covering all aspects of portfolio management, including asset allocation, vehicle and investment selection and monitoring, proprietary capital markets assumptions and quantitative ranking models, and portfolio construction, rebalancing, and stress testing.

Mr. Bergman has spent many years building a fully integrated wealth management platform for Envestnet which offers all the tools that advisors would ever need at their fingertips. To that end, Mr. Bergman helped spearhead last year’s acquisitions of financial/goals-based planning solutions provider Finance Logix and the leading cloud-based data aggregation firm, Yodlee, in order to augment Envestnet’s technology suite. The Yodlee acquisition, in particular, is expected to bring wealth management further into the future as its household financial data aggregation and predictive analytics become embedded into Envestnet’s platform.

“Our steady growth and ongoing technology enhancements over the past 17 years have made our vision—an integrated wealth management platform that supports fee-based advisors by giving them access to the best investment products and enabling them to run their practices more efficiently while meeting fiduciary standards—a reality,” said Mr. Bergman. “This has set us apart in the industry, and we will continue to enhance our platform so more advisors can leverage our technology to strengthen client relationships and increase productivity.”
