Envestnet Completes Integration of HiddenLevers Application into Envestnet's Next Generation Platform

Portfolio Stress Testing Empowers Advisors with Actionable Insights to Identify Opportunities for Improved Portfolio Construction and Management

CHICAGO, Aug. 21, 2013 — Envestnet, Inc. (NYSE: ENV), a leading provider of unified wealth management technology and services to investment advisors, announced today the integration of the HiddenLevers application into its unified wealth management platform. Advisors who access HiddenLevers’ scenario-based portfolio stress testing, which uses proprietary algorithms to analyze and help predict the potential impact of economic events on asset classes, portfolios and even individual securities, will gain deeper insights into the potential risks and opportunities in client portfolios. HiddenLevers is available through Envestnet’s unified wealth management platform and further bolsters the firm’s leading portfolio modeling and management capabilities.

“Advisors who equip themselves with the most advanced wealth management tools and technology are positioned to make better decisions, implement them more effectively and communicate them in the way that best fits a client’s needs,” said Bill Crager, President, Envestnet. “At Envestnet, we are deeply engaged in creating those capabilities. HiddenLevers allows advisors to access critical information that used to be very difficult to come by.”

HiddenLevers offers sophisticated macro scenario modeling, hedging strategies and risk profiles, but makes sure the analysis is just as useful for the client-facing advisor as it is for the investment committee. “We make a huge effort to make everything understandable, even exciting, for the end client. It’s just better when advisors can talk about risk in real terms,” says Raj Udeshi, Co-Founder, HiddenLevers.

“Envestnet is committed to providing new levels of service that enhance advisors’ abilities to grow their practices,” said Jim Patrick, Executive Vice President of Envestnet. “Our own research has shown that integrated technology is directly correlated to increased profitability. As increasingly sophisticated investors seek innovative solutions to their financial questions, Envestnet will play an important role in advisors’ ability to create and manage dynamic portfolios."
