CHICAGO, Jan. 13, 2015 -- Envestnet, Inc. (NYSE: ENV), announces that Six firms— BlackRock, Invesco, Ltd., Neuberger Berman, Beaumont Capital Management, Innealta Capital, and The Capital Group's American Funds Distributors, Inc.—have agreed to provide original content for Envestnet Institute (http://www.envestnetinstitute.com), its unified education portal for empowering registered financial professionals.
In addition, Envestnet Institute will foster strong and meaningful interaction among members of the financial advisory sector by incorporating the BeyondAlpha advisor community (http://www.beyondalpha.com) into its platform.
"The addition of these five thought leaders is another step toward our goal of making Envestnet Institute the premier source for independent financial advisors seeking timely and informative analysis," said Zachary Karabell, Head of Global Strategy, Envestnet and curator of the Institute's academic content. "We are also significantly enhancing the portal's capacity to help advisors improve their businesses by integrating BeyondAlpha's discussion forum functionality, which enables advisors to securely build relationships with peers and third parties on their own terms."
Envestnet Institute was officially launched during the "2014 Envestnet Advisor Summit: The Next Big Idea" in May 2014. The portal offers videos, webinars, white papers, and other original content on a complimentary basis to all registered financial professionals. These materials are produced by a wide range of authors to provide practice management tips, answer financial planning questions, and deliver advanced market and industry commentary. In addition, advisors can use Envestnet Institute to take online courses for financial services accreditations and fulfill the continuing education requirements associated with them.
The new Envestnet Institute partners will offer additional content and courses related to topics such as retirement planning, alternative investments, practice management, and international investing.
BeyondAlpha offers a compliance-friendly environment for advisors to exchange ideas, analysis, and business development tips with other advisors, as well as product and service providers, without advertisements and other online distractions. The BeyondAlpha community is currently administered by Envestnet | Placemark, a leading developer of unified managed accounts (UMA) programs for banks, full-service broker-dealers, and RIA firms. Envestnet acquired Placemark on October 1, 2014.
As part of its combination with BeyondAlpha, Envestnet Institute will utilize a community monitor to moderate discussions among advisors and create online discussion groups focused on specific areas of interest and inquiry.
"Thanks to this integration, Envestnet Institute not only delivers trusted and thought-provoking content to serve independent advisors' ongoing education needs, but also enables them to build their own professional networks," said Ron Fiske, Managing Director, Events & Education, Envestnet. "We are proud to be a full-service resource for independent advisors that wish to grow their practices by learning from respected members of their industry."
