CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, ENVESTNET

As Chief Marketing Officer of Envestnet, Sue Burton leads the company’s global marketing organization, encompassing brand, communications, demand generation, channel marketing, and product marketing. 

Sue is a senior marketing and customer experience executive with more than 20 years of experience driving growth, transforming brands, and advancing advisor engagement across the financial services industry. She joined Envestnet from Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU), where she most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing, Digital, and Member Experience. At DCU, she led enterprise marketing strategy and digital experience transformation, delivering significant deposit and membership growth through data-driven, digital-first initiatives. 

Prior to DCU, Sue held senior leadership roles at Bank of America, where she led marketing and client experience strategy for the Private Bank and directed enterprise brand and financial education initiatives. Her work strengthened relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, expanded digital advisor engagement, and increased brand favorability at a national scale. 

Earlier in her career, Sue held key marketing and product management roles at JPMorgan and Fidelity Investments, where she modernized client journeys, strengthened advisor-led engagement, and enhanced the advisor and broker-dealer experience across wealth management, retirement, and clearing platforms. This multifaceted background spanning wealth advisory, banking, retirement, clearing, and digital experience enables her to integrate brand, client strategy, and advisor support into cohesive, growth-driving systems. 

Sue holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communication and Marketing from Bentley University.
