This quarter we’ve updated the Envestnet | Tamarac CRM system so advisors and their clients can work together more seamlessly and securely. These enhancements help users maximize required minimum distribution (RMD) planning, connect through Microsoft Teams, and support Schwab authentication. Here are the highlights:
Tamarac CRM enhancements
1. RMD Planning dashboard and associated views
We’re excited to introduce the new RMD Planning dashboard and associated views. For users who grant others access to the dashboard, we’ve added a new Tamarac RMD Planning managed role. This is designed to keep the list of dashboards users see relevant to the work that they do.
Once permission has been granted, users will see the RMD Planning dashboard in the list on the Dashboards page, which will enable them to see all views in one place, including:
- RMD information on eligible Financial Accounts based on satisfaction status, as well as a Schwab information specific view for Schwab custodied Financial Accounts
- RMD eligible or soon to be eligible Financial Accounts for clients organized by age 72 or 73 to track which ones are nearing time to take their first RMD
- Clients who are at or approaching RMD age, regardless of having eligible Financial Accounts, to better facilitate holistic discussions

2. New Microsoft Teams functionality
We’re thrilled to announce that users can now use Microsoft Teams with Tamarac CRM. Once configured, users with the correct permissions will be able to take advantage of these valuable features:
In Tamarac CRM
• Engage in Teams chat
• Link Dynamics 365 records to Teams channels
• Use embedded Teams calling
• Integrate Dynamics 365, Teams meetings, and more
In Microsoft Teams
• Display a record or view in tab
• Integrate SharePoint files
• View personal CRM dashboard
• View and update Dynamics 365 records seamlessly in Teams meetings
• Capture notes and tasks quickly during Teams meetings and more

3. Schwab authentication enhancements
We’ve made some improvements to the way we authenticate users, which improves stability and usability for clients accessing the Schwab integration from within Tamarac CRM.
